Is reclaimed timber strong/durable?
Yes – The timber we select is seasoned/dry timber, free from deterioration. Both raw material timber and finished units are inspected before we use and dispatch them.
What characteristics should I expect from reclaimed timber?
You can expect to find natural knots and wavy edges, along with first-life marks from various industries. These qualities bring a very real, rustic feel to our furniture.
Due to the nature of solid reclaimed wood, every single piece of furniture will be different – truly unique.
We inspect all timber before it is selected for use and would never use timber that has unsightly marks that would negatively impact the visual aesthetic of the finished piece.
Placing your unit near to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which can bring the natural qualities out over time.
DIY installation of shelves and any other units
Due to the nature of DIY and the installation of shelves and any units that require you to ‘fit’ them in your own home or business, we take no responsibility for the safety of the shelves or units being installed, nor any damages that arise from faulty installation techniques.
We make every effort to provide reasonable advice on installation however if you are in any doubt please employ the services of a professional to install your shelves.
Bespoke & Custom Orders
Can I order bespoke furniture?
Absolutely. Please send your design details and size requirements to us via email, or via our social networks. We’re happy to discuss your ideas over the phone.
Sketches and CAD drawings can help show us your vision, they are more than welcome.
Once received we’ll design your furniture in 3D via computer software and will send the design, including a bespoke invoice, to you for approval free of charge.

Your refund is issued 1-2 days after you have collected your order.
Collection & Delivery
Where are you located?
Our garage workshop is located in Faberstown, just off Andover Road on Biddesden Lane. The entrance is down a cul-de-sac which has a white house on the corner.
You’re welcome to drive down to our workshop door, however as it’s a cul-de-sac you’ll need to reverse back out. There is plenty of parking along the roadside if you’re happy to walk up. We are happy to carry and load your unit into your car.

How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is FREE for most of our small and medium-sized products.
For the delivery of our large items, we quote based on your location so that we can give you the best price possible.

How does home delivery work?
We decide based on each order which method of home delivery to use and will communicate a delivery date before dispatching.
In-house delivery is often considered as we like to ensure your units arrive in perfect condition (as well as the thrill we get meeting our customers!)
Should in-house delivery not be feasible we will choose one of three main overnight services and advise you of your tracking number (via automated email) once booked.
My item is missing or damaged
If your goods have not arrived or you are worried they may be missing, please contact customer services immediately, either by emailing [email protected] or by calling us directly.
If your goods are damaged please decline the delivery – In line with most independent retailers return carriage costs for damaged items, signed for as satisfactory, are not covered by The Woodshed Store UK. Please be sure to inspect your delivery carefully before signing.
If you have already signed for your goods – Please send us photos of the damage via email and we will advise you on the best course of action. Once we have verified the damage we can then rectify the situation.
If your goods have gone missing we will lodge a claim immediately, we then have to have to wait 3 business days to pass to allow an investigation by the courier.

Due to the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can’t accept returns for:

Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Our packing materials are perfect for this scenario so please check the unit well upon delivery and before you dispose of the foam packing.
Definition of a faulty unit when working with natural reclaimed materials can be ambiguous. Timber may contain natural imperfections which add to the character.
As timber is a natural product variations in colour and grain can occur. Timbers change colour and darken slightly over time.
We consider faulty goods to include: incorrect dimensions or finishes based on your order. In the unlikely event this happens, we shall take full responsibility and a full refund or replacement will be made.
We will send you a free postage label so you don’t incur any additional costs should the goods be at fault described above.
